This is the NP435 to NP203 adapter..

This is needed if you have a short rear drive shaft and want to run the double up adapter. With the ford 203 version of this adapter… length is 2.6″ long…

NP435 short shaft pics

This is a NP435 that needed a short output to fit in a custom Jeep Wagoner. The tranny’s output shaft was removed and reapplied to Fords 31 spline. The 203 is using a TH350 adapter to mate with the new one that is on the 435. Dodge is the only output that has enough beef to respline to the 32 and 31 splines. The ford NP435 and others can only be resplined to the TH350 27 spline or the Dodge 23 spline mating to the NP203. The Dodge and Ford NP203 ‘s have the input that is shorter than the GM’s 27 and 32 spline counts, which are 2″ to mating surface… the Fords 31 spline is the shortest… meaning the shortest adapter…

For the Ford / Dodge 203’s this adapter is 2.25″. For the GM27 and 32 spline counts, the adapter is 2.875-3.0″ in length.

The 2wd 435’s main shaft can be used to work with the 31 and 32 spline counts…

These adapters are complete… meaning that they bolt to the face of your 203 and the 435 w/o any other adapters….

Clocking of the 203 is also easily done by bolting them in a different rotation… We can answer this question better over the phone…
